Farewell to the Work.

This chapter explores the nature of the soul as the life-giving principle united to the body, highlighting a more noble aspect termed the 'soul of the soul' or 'spirit of the spirit.' It emphasizes that in just individuals, this higher spiritual element is strong, enabling contemplation and knowledge of God and eternal truths, whereas in those who grow tepid or sin, it weakens. The capacity to know and love God increases with the degree of one's love and service to Him. The chapter also reflects on Mary as the most holy creature after Christ, filled abundantly with God's graces and love, who now in Heaven overflows charity upon the faithful.
